Can I upgrade macOS on a remote Mac?
Yes! Modern macOS versions can be upgraded directly within System Settings. You are welcome to upgrade to the latest version of macOS if it is supported by your remote Mac. You will be disconnected for 30-60 minutes during the upgrade. After the upgrade is complete, you will be able to reconnect to the Mac.
Do not use the remote reboot controls in the client portal while the upgrade is in progress, as this can result in a botched upgrade. If you’re experiencing issues during the upgrade or if the system isn’t back online after about 90 minutes from the time the upgrade was initiated, please open a support ticket so that we can assist you.
