How to properly configure Remote Management (ARD)

If correct permissions are not enabled for Remote Management, you will not be able to access your hosted Mac via VNC. These are the settings to have selected before you enable remote management and cut your connection.

1. Navigate to System Settings > General > Sharing > Advanced
2. Select the information icon next to Remote Management

• Select ‘Options…’ and toggle all options on.

• Select ‘OK’ and then toggle Remote Management from ‘Off’ to ‘On’. Click Done.
• At this point, you should be able to connect to your Mac the same way you previously connected via Screen Sharing.
