While testing OS X 10.7 Lion, we found some of the core web hosting features to lack what we (and our customers) expect out of a web server. Mac Mini Vault has teamed up with appsolute GmbH, the creators of MAMP and MAMP PRO, to apply our knowledge of production web hosting environments to the MAMP PRO development software. MAMP PRO has been a great tool, allowing developers and designers to test with a web server running on their local machine. Every colocation plan includes a license to run MAMP PRO, starting with version 2.0. This license is only valid to our customers while their machine is on our network. We encourage customers to use MAMP PRO for their development environments, allowing them to seamlessly manage their development and production web environments. Click for more information on MAMP PRO.
