It’s fairly common in tech news, IPv4 assignments are drying up and the internet is running out of addresses. IPv6 was engineered to fix that with enough addresses to last for a very very very long time. Here is a good infographic with some of the statistics. We have been internally testing IPv6 for some time now and recently more of our bandwidth providers have rolled out IPv6 on their networks. We are still in the early stages of our IPv6 deployment. However, we are at the point where we’d like to request the assistance of willing and able customers in doing some testing. This beta is open to customers of Mac Mini Vault.
